|This will introduce and provide information on training and the partnerships of the Energy Training Office.
First and foremost is Seneca College's internationally recognized and award winning program Building Environmental Systems (or BES, as it's known to thousands of students). BES is a leading edge training program ensuring the operation and maintenance of energy efficient and economically productive buildings in all sectors including commercial centres, public facilities, and large scale residences.
Completely updated texts and web learning tools make BES a world leader in "individualized" classroom and distance training delivery for the building sector and related fields.
Our working partners over the years include some of the leading practitioners in the energy and environmental field including the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR),the Ministry of Environment of the province of Ontario, Natural Resources Canada, Building Owners and Managers International (BOMI), Canada's major energy service companies including Tescor and Rose Technology, and organizations like the Toronto Building Superintendents Association.
The Energy Training Office has partnerships with colleges and institutions throughout Canada and the world. We are interested in expanding these to include your organization. Contact 1-800-572-0712 for additional details.
Most importantly we want to establish training partnerships with individuals through our training delivery. Recognition is available through college certification, the Energy Training Ontario Registry and the Canada-wide Inter-Provincial Facility Training Accredition Council (IFTAC/CAIFE).
